The Bloom Forum | Fab 15 | Week 6 | Black and White

The theme for this week’s Bloom Forum Project 52 is “Black and White” Well… somehow this little black and white refugee managed to find her way to my vet clinic. As the owner of a rescue Boston… I just couldn’t say no. This baby OBVIOUSLY has a family missing her. She has a “well-loved waistline” and is crate trained. Hopefully we will find her family soon. If not.. she will be put up for adoption, so these photos may serve double duty for softening up some animal lover future Boston Terrier owner!

And some others from our impromptu session:

And MY personal fav….

Now head on over to Carrie Terrones, Las Vegas Photographer and see her interpretation of Black and White!

The Bloom Forum | Fab 15 | Week 5 | Together

Another week for the Bloom Forum’s Fab 15! This week’s theme was “Together”

I had all sorts of ideas for this week. Funny thing about creativity… it takes the control away from your brain sometimes and just “happens” when you least expect it. For those of you far and away… Mississippi got snow this week. Something that rarely happens. Wednesday night the kids and I stayed “in town” with my parents after work because of the 30 minute drive north to our house and the horrible road conditions. Travis was home and held down the fort with the animals. The next night… He worked overtime. The kids and I got home late so it was too dark and cold to play in any left over snow. Friday… again.. it just didn’t happen. Well today, THREE days later and with temperatures in the 60’s, we are all at home getting to spend some time… TOGETHER… and low and behold there was a little corner of untouched snow still hanging around in a far corner of our property. So we decided to take the kids out to play in it. Travis gets the creative credit for this idea. As soon as he suggested it I knew it would be perfect for this weeks theme. ( GO TRAVIS)

I’m including some other pics of our adventures today. We all had a blast!

Now head on over to Carrie Terrones, Las Vegas Photographer and see what togetherness SHE found!

The Bloom Forum | Fab 15 | Week 4 | In the Home

Its that time again! This week our Bloom Forum Project 52 Theme is “In the Home”
This presented a bit of a challenge for me because I am 700 miles AWAY from home in Nashville, TN visiting my sister on a short Mommy Vacation. My sister is a realtor and so we went to visit a couple of big homes just for fun. I was hoping to get a shot of some posh kitchen or something for this week. Unfortunately nothing struck my fancy. We did go visit a gutted old mansion that looks like it must have belonged to some country diva in the seventies. Its in pretty bad shape now, down to studs and bare decking in most places… but this place was STILL unbelievable. While in an upstairs bedroom, I spied the decorative capital of the column from the window. So TECHINCALLY this isn’t IN the home, but it was shot from within the home.. so I hope you guys don’t hold that against me. Using my sis’s laptop, but I’ll re-edit these when I get home!

And here is a shot of what once have been a magnificent entry way… All’s that is missing is the ballgown!

Now shoot on over to visit amazing Carrie Terrones, Las Vegas Photographer and see what she has for us this week!

AmandaB - that stairway was is amazing! i would love to have that in my house!!

Carrie - Oh my…this house is so intriguing! I would LOVE to see more pics!

Jessica N - This is going to be beautiful. That staircase is amazing.

robyn - love that entry way!!! wow!

Stacey S - What a beautiful house and stairway! It’s such a shame that this fell into a state of disrepair – hopefully someone soon will change all that!

Erin Norman | Las Vegas Maternity Photographer - Wow, wouldn’t you love to see what someone could do with that house? Love the cracked and peeling paint in the first shot.

jules - gorgeous stairway! would love to see the original home in all it’s glory!

Cara - You must have had fun looking at houses, I think I made an audible sigh when I opened thinking this was your place :D.

christina - How fun that must have been looking at those houses. I can almost see Scarlett O’Hara coming down that staircase. :)

The Bloom Forum | Fab 15 | Week 3 | Vintage

VINTAGE…
When trying to come up with an idea for this week’s Bloom Forum Project 52, I remembered an old book that was found in a truckload of junk from an old library that I saved. Not only was this book old, but it had a personal inscription inside the front cover that really made it special.

This is The Complete Poetical Works of Robert Southey. I couldn’t find an edition date, but the incription reads, ”

Miss Elizabeth Kyle,
a present from her Matthew.
May 17th, 1871

Yep… I’d say its been around a while and earned it’s Vintage Badge! I’ve googled “Elizabeth Kyle”, but nothing came up… Guess Facebook wasn’t as popular back then! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now.. lets go see what Carrie Terrones has in store for us this week on her BLOG
