The Bloom Forum | Project 52 | Week 20 | Sleeping

First off… let me say its 4:30am Sunday morning. Every time this week that I tried/remember to catch my kids sleeping, I got busted. So after a REALLY overdone Saturday, I finally caught a shot. But its 4:30….and “I” should be sleeping. So here ya go. Now back off to bed for me 😉

Now go check out Kristin M. Young’s submission. Its sure to be a great one!

Stacey S - What a great shot!!

The Bloom Forum | Project 52 | Week 19 | Texture

Instead of using a texture in Post Processing, I decided to find something with texture to photograph. On the way to look at floodwaters today… we drove past a wheat field that had been spared from the rising waters. Perfect subject.

Now go make the rounds and don’t forget to leave some love!!!
Next up is Robyn Oakenfold, Calgary Photographer

Stacey S - How cool is this! Love the natural texture here.

Erin Norman | Las Vegas Engagement and Couples Photographer - I love that there are so many natural textures as well. And the natural color of wheat is so pretty!

Bloom Workshop Assignment | Storytelling…

For our last assignment for our Bloom Workshop we were asked to tell a story using photographs. We were to choose from a selection of snipets from Dr. Seuss “The Places You Will Go”

My Snipet:

You’ll get mixed up, of course,
as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up
with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life’s
a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.

And my Submission:
Assignment #2

The Bloom Forum | Project 52 | Week 18 | Crisp

This week’s theme is Crisp/Fresh….

Again, I broke out the Macro for this one. The more I use it the more I love it! This is a close up of a Coneflower. I love how the light filters through the center of it!

Sorry to post and run! The past few weeks have been nutso around here! Thankfully our house is not being directly affected by the flood waters. I feel so for our friends that are. Please keep Vicksburg and all of those who are in the path of this mighty Mississippi in your prayers!

Before you go… don’t forget to check out Kristin M Young’s beautiful submission of this week.
